This a University level live brief for the D&AD New Blood Awards 2017. There was a choice of three briefs, i chose the one most suited to me which was the branding brief. This involved recreating Crowne Plaza's image more suited to a more modern world that is ever changing.
I selected a bolder geometric sans serif type face, one that could maintain legibility and presence in smaller sized such as on social media. I also introduced free flowing ribbon derived from the three ribbons present in their previous logo.
I designed it to be able to move and change
as the company does.
